Our goal is always to assist our student-athletes in putting themselves in the best position for them to fulfill their dreams! As they move into their high school years, we strive to put our athletes in the best positions to receive the maximum amount of exposure to collegiate coaches while focusing their attention on their academics to an even greater degree. We guide our players through their formative years to ensure that they understand the importance of their effort in their academics from the youngest of ages. Since its inception in 2004, FC Copa Academy has appeared in 26 state, 19 regional, and 7 national finals & championships while having one of the highest college placement rates in the country, both soccer and academic having placed over 400 students into 153 collegiate programs.įor us to be successful at this, Copa is one of the only clubs that has a full-time Director of Academic Guidance, who works to help players find the right college fit that meets their athletic ambitions, and most importantly their academic ones. FC Copa Academy teams compete in premier level leagues, tournaments, showcases, and competitions locally, regionally, and nationally. FC Copa Academy fields both boys and girls teams in each age group from U7 through U19 and beyond. The focus is on educating the complete player with a knowledgeable and caring staff. We are a year-round soccer development program assisting players in reaching their greatest potential. In addition to the youth academy, FC Copa Academy provides a pathway into the college, semi-pro, and professional levels its New Jersey Copa FC collegiate programs (U20 and U23) all the way to the USL League Two (men) and UWS (women) teams. We are a soccer family consisting of over 750 members from the ages of 5 to 19 that come from all areas of NJ, NY, and PA. ![]() ![]() Since retiring from playing professional soccer in 2002, Chris cofounded the Footability Technical Footwork System, has coached at the youth level in Colorado and currently serves as the Assistant Coach for Sporting Kansas City’s USL affiliate.FC Copa Academy is a professional soccer organization founded in 2004. He left the Foxes to sign with the Rapids in ‘97, making 119 appearances across five seasons and winning Rapids Defender of the Year in 2001. Following his college career, Chris went professional, joining the Colorado Foxes of the APSL and playing with them from 1993-97. José currently serves as a referee mentor, coach and assignor.Īfter a youth soccer career spent playing for Aurora SC, Cherry Creek Lighting, and Lakewood Renegades, as well as Ponderosa High School, Chris Martinez received a scholarship to play at Clemson University, where he played from 1989-92. José soon became a national referee, where he was involved in MLS games and numerous international friendlies. José oversaw countless games at the youth, adult, and amateur levels, including National and Regional Cup events. In 1992, after his roles at Club America and CSSA, José became a certified referee to stay involved in the game. ![]() In addition to his duties at the adult club, José served as a Board Member, State Penalty Commissioner, and State Judicial Committee Member of the Colorado State Soccer Association, the former adult state organization. Upon his arrival in Colorado, he immediately became heavily involved on the adult side of the game, playing multiple roles for Club America Soccer Club, including player, coach, manager, ad owner. José Corro moved to Colorado after spending the first 24 years of his life in Mexico, where he attended school and played soccer for both school and state teams. ![]()
